On a Mission to Help Children

Kaye Boehning didn’t set out to be an educator. Born in Oklahoma, she attended Phillips University with the intention of being an accountant, but 21 credit hours away from her CPA Exam, she abruptly changed her major, eventually leaving the school with a master’s degree in education.
Today she is the managing director of Tomorrow’s Promise Montessori School, presiding over more than 200 students from birth to elementary ages.
Boehning’s sudden shift in interests came while in college, when she took her then two-year-old son to a local Montessori school. When she saw how he was learning, she was hooked. Read more
Charlotte was born in Denmark and moved here in 1990. She has been married since 1994 and has two children, Emma and Sofia. She joined the Tomorrow’s Promise team in 1999. She completed her Montessori training in 2003 at the Houston Montessori Center. In the time since then she has worn every hat imaginable and most days wears three or four at a time. Not only is she Assistant Director, but is also currently co-teaching the Purple Stars class as well.
Ashley became part of the Tomorrow’s Promise team in July of 2002. She began her journey with us by teaching in the infant classroom. Since that time Ashley has been promoted to Office Manager and has started on the road to becoming a fully certified Montessori Infant/Toddler teacher. Ashley has completed one summer of training at the world renowned Houston Montessori Center. Her goals for the future are to complete her Montessori training, to continue teaching young children, and to provide the most creative and inspiring learning environment possible.
Lead Teacher – Purple Caterpillars
Ms. Gloria joined TPMS in 2010. She is the lead teacher in the Purple Caterpillars classroom. Ms. Gloria married her husband, Jose in 2006 and they have two boys, Cris and Pedro. In her spare time, Ms. Gloria likes to fish and enjoys outdoor activities. She particularly enjoys working with children.
Lead Teacher – Purple Stars
Ms. Shelbi is the lead teacher in the Purple Star classroom. Ms. Shelbi joined our family in 2011. She says “Working at Tomorrow’s Promise has been a great experience for me. Working here has helped me grow as a teacher and a parent.” Her daughter, Narahi, has attended TPMS since she was six weeks old.
Lead Teacher – Butterfly Pre-K
Ms. Jamie is the lead teacher in the Butterfly Pre-K Classroom and has been a part of the TPMS family since October of 2001. She completed her teacher certification at The Houston Montessori Center in 2002, where she received her Montessori Early Childhood Credentials.
Ms. Jamie has been married to her husband, Brad, since 1999, and they have two sons, Lucas and Cooper. When she is not teaching young children, Ms. Jamie enjoys cooking, gardening, camping, and being “Team Mom” for both of her son’s baseball teams.
Ms. Jamie has always loved working with young children and takes great pride in providing an inspiring and nurturing learning environment for all her students.
Lead Teacher – Two Year Old Classroom
Ms. Annie joined TPMS in 2003. She received her Montessori certification in 2007 from the North American Montessori Association. When Ms. Annie is not guiding and mentoring her class, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ms. Lilia wants to share her abilities and experience in order to foster a love of learning with the world’s most important people – the children. Ms. Lilia joined our family in 2002. She has a BS in Elementary Education and she has been an educator since 1965, specializing in:
- Phonetic Reading for Pre-School
- Dramatic Play for kids
- Pre-School Dance Interpretation
- Finger Plays
